YouthLink Job Fair provides opportunities, resources

“I need to find a job.” That’s the reason young people gave when asked why they participated in YouthLink’s Spring Job Fair. About 80 young people attended the Spring Job Fair at YouthLink on Wednesday, March 10. At the Job Fair, young people had access to more than a dozen companies, agencies and nonprofit organizations. They could talk to people about jobs that are available, explore opportunities for education or job skill training.

There were also resources available for young people to improve their work readiness skills and get help preparing their resume. One of the highlights of the Job Fair was a Get Ready to Work Fashion Show. Young people modeled a variety of clothing ensembles that showed simple ways to dress for the job interview or on-the-job – clothes for a variety of settings.
