For over 40 years, YouthLink has been building pathways of opportunity for homeless youth in the Twin Cities, and that journey starts with our staff. If you’d like to turn your passion for helping young people into a rewarding career, we’d love to hear from you.
Why work at YouthLink?
Innovation: YouthLink is dedicated to helping youth exit homelessness. With that goal in mind, our approach is uniquely data-driven and founded on research that has helped to form the Guiding Principles under which all YouthLink programs operate. In short, we know what works, and we have the evidence to back it up. Find out more about our Guiding Principles here.
Expansion: YouthLink is growing! We are currently in partnership with PPL (Project for Pride in Living) to build a 4-story supportive housing unit adjacent to our Drop-In Center. The new space is expected to open in 2017, and will include an updated career pathways center and 46 units of community-focused housing designed to support youth in achieving their future aspirations.
Community: The Youth Opportunity Center at YouthLink, a first-of-its kind facility, brings over 30 community partners on site to make vital resources available for youth in one convenient location. At YouthLink, we work closely with our onsite partners to provide efficient and effective interventions, building a highly collaborative community of support around our clients.
Opportunity: At YouthLink, we believe in creating pathways of opportunity not only for youth, but for our staff. We are dedicated to providing opportunities for career development, including training and workshops, educational programs, and internal advancement.
Benefits: YouthLink offers a competitive benefits package for qualifying employees, including medical, dental, life insurance, long-term disability, short-term disability, retirement, and FSA coverage.
Location: YouthLink is a proud part of the downtown Minneapolis community. Our Drop-In Center and administrative offices are located within easy walking distance of many downtown attractions, such as Target Field, Target Center, and Nicollet Mall. We also offer free onsite parking for staff.
What do our staff think?
“Working collaboratively with our partner agencies is one of the things I enjoy most, along with building relationships with the young people who live at Nicollet Square. The growth and transformation from being homeless to housed to thriving never ceases to amaze me. The young people we serve truly give me way more than I could ever give them. It’s a privilege.” –Rachel, Nicollet Square Program Supervisor
Our Current Openings:
“I work at YL to help ensure youth are able to access trauma informed and holistic services. I feel honored to be a part of their journey and to have the opportunity to work with some of the most caring, courageous and resilient people I know.”Meet our staff >
