YouthLink is currently accepting in kind donations! PLEASE NOTE: Our preference is for people to call ahead and speak with a staff member about the items you would like to donate to ensure that they are items we currently need and that we have space to store them at this time.  You can call 612-252-1200 and let the front desk staff know what items you would like to donate, they can answer any questions you might have.

“Critical Needs”

• Coats, hats, mittens (specifically sizes XL, XXL, and XXL)
• Memberships to local gyms or workout facilities for program participants
• Storage units for program participants who are between stable housing
• New industrial walkie talkies
• College dorm items including: twin sized bed set with pillow, waste basket, fan, power strip, printer, dorm chair, broom/dustpan set, curtain, iron, microwave or dorm fridge, small T.V., dish and silverware set, desk lamp and cleaning supplies

Wish List Ideas:

• Teen appropriate clothing (we accept seasonal clothing only due to storage space restrictions)
• NEW socks, bras, underwear and boxers of all sizes
• Professional clothing for interviews
• Workout clothing
• Dress shoes
• Sheet sets in good condition
• Shower curtains/liners/rings
• Garbage cans
• Towels
• Pots and pans
• Dish sets and silverware
• Alarm clocks
• Lamps
• Coffee and End Tables
• Laundry baskets
• Kitchen electronics
• Shoe racks
• Hammer/nails and extension cords
• Blow up mattresses
• New sleeping bags
• Diapers
• Bed-bug proof bed bags

• Deodorant, Afro-centric hair supplies

We do not accept:

• Mattresses or other bedroom items that may harbor bed bugs (if you have a mattress to donate call us at 612-252-1200, we may be able to accept this item at an alternate site)
• Electronics that do not work
• Used car seats or booster seats (Due to safety concerns)
• Out of season clothing or other items (Due to lack of storage space)
• Clothing that is not appropriate for teenagers
• Used underwear
• Clothing or other items that are stained, badly torn, damaged or unusable
