Housing
When you’re homeless, you’re concerned with one thing: Putting a safe roof over your head each night.
YouthLink can help.
With access to two housing facilities right in downtown Minneapolis, one in south Minneapolis and a variety of scattered sites throughout the Twin Cities, YouthLink helps young people get back on their feet in a caring and supportive environment.
In total, YouthLink provides social service support to 76 one-bedroom and studio apartments within its Archdale and St. Barnabas (a partnership with Aeon–formally Central Community Housing Trust) locations, and Nicollet Square offers 42 furnished studio apartments to homeless youth with private bathrooms and kitchenettes. What’s more, Nicollet Square residents will have an opportunity to secure that first job right in the building as the facility will also feature retail businesses like a coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants.
YouthLink also partners with the Hearth Connection Youth Mobile Team and Lutheran Social Services to provide intensive case management services including mental health services, employment assistance and food resources to 25 youth across scattered site housing across the Twin Cities, helping them manage their rent subsidy.
