YouthLink can help you work on your education, whether you are in high school, working on your GED, or want to go to college.
Come to YouthLink’s Drop-In Center, and our staff will work with you to address any barriers you face to completing your education, including:
- Getting a social security card, birth certificate, and/or and state ID
- Filling out applications for food stamps, Medical Assistance, or financial aid
- Advocating at your school
- Connecting with GED tutors
- Preparing for college applications
- Meeting basic needs through visits to food shelves or clothing closets
Employment
Looking for help finding a job? Visit YouthLink’s Drop-In Center, and our staff members can assist with:
- Online job searches and applications
- Finding employment opportunities for youth with a criminal history
- Getting work-appropriate clothing in our clothing closet
- Transportation to your current job
- Meeting your basic needs with showers and hygiene supplies
- Working with our partner agencies to find other employment opportunities
Housing
YouthLink can help you find opportunities for housing. Whether you’re looking for a shelter bed for the night, or a long-term solution, visit our Drop-In Center and our staff can help you:
- Find shelter options for single men, women, parents, and minors
- Learn more about YouthLink’s housing programs like Downtown View and Nicollet Square
- Fill out housing applications, or look for an apartment
- Find financial services to help you set a budget and manage rent and bill payments
