Brighten the Holidays for Youth and Families Experiencing Homelessness
The holidays should be a time of warmth and joy, but for too many young people and families in our community, this time of year brings feelings of stress, worry, and loneliness. You can change that.
YouthLink is gearing up for our busiest holiday party and Santa Shop yet, happening Thursday December 18, and we need your help to make it a success.
You can make a difference by donating items to our Santa Shop, where youth can “shop” for gifts for themselves and their children. You can view our Donations List Here or shop our Amazon Registry to have items shipped directly to YouthLink by December 11.
Last year, generous donors like you helped provide gifts for 150 teens, young adults, and their children. This year, we expect to serve around 200 young people and their children. Our hope is that every family can receive at least two toys per child, winter essentials, and a few necessities, such as personal care, electronics, or household goods.
As of October 1, YouthLink has already seen 32% more youth visits than last year, a reminder of how many are struggling to meet basic needs. Your kindness will remind them that they’re not alone and that someone cares.
This is the perfect opportunity to shop Black Friday deals for a good cause! Or consider hosting a donation drive or giving tree at your company, faith-based organization, or other community location. Together, we can make sure every young person feels loved and cared for this holiday season.
