Our Impact

On any given night in Minnesota, 1,315 young people will experience homelessness. But homelessness is not their final destination. Thanks to YouthLink, and supporters like you, youth can move beyond the barriers they face, forge new pathways for themselves, and build more stable futures.

Research shows our model works.

A landmark 6-year study done by Foldes Consulting LLC (in partnership with the University of Minnesota), demonstrates that youth experiencing homelessness benefit from drop-in centers with case management services. The study compared YouthLink participants to a group of similar youth over several years. Those accessing YouthLink services and case management had better outcomes. Youth with a substantial relationship with their drop-in case manager were:

4.2x

more likely to access permenant housing and stay longer

66%

less likely to be
convicted of a felony

2.6x

more likely to earn
a GED and have greater
Focus on education.
