Celebrating Two Years of Rich Melzer’s Leadership at YouthLink

In February, YouthLink celebrated a significant milestone: the two-year anniversary of Rich Melzer’s tenure as CEO. In this short period, YouthLink has experienced remarkable growth and impact, a testament to Rich’s steadfast commitment to the mission of empowering young people to transform their lives.

Under Rich’s leadership, YouthLink has seen a whopping 106% increase in youth visits. This surge in engagement reflects the effectiveness of YouthLink’s programs and services in reaching and supporting more young people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. Furthermore, Rich has championed a culture of care and respect within YouthLink, which has led to a significant increase in employee retention rates and a decrease in turnover. This stable and supportive environment is crucial for the organization’s long-term success and impact. 

In Rich’s own words, “What we do in terms of supporting and housing young people experiencing homelessness is critical and life-changing. The real magic is in the way we carry out this work. Each of us tied to YouthLink, from our team members to our volunteers, supportive partners, funders, and donors, are leading with love throughout every interaction and engagement we have.”
