Justice for George Floyd

Our vision at YouthLink is to create a community in which ALL YOUTH, without regard to their living situation, have an equal opportunity to pursue their goals and dreams and an equal likelihood of achieving them. We firmly believe youth should feel respected and safe, not fearful, on the streets of Minneapolis.

Mr. George Floyd should still be with his family today. We support Mayor Frey when he said, “Being Black in America should not be a death sentence.” YouthLink extends deep sorrow and sympathy to Mr. Floyd’s family and friends for such a tragic and horrific loss.

MPD Police Chief Arradondo, a member of the YouthLink Board of Directors, did the right thing by immediately terminating the officers involved in the unconscionable and deadly actions taken by the police. YouthLink will continue to address systemic change for justice with law enforcement for young people as part of their journey toward wholeness and well-being.

YouthLink stands firmly with our community in bringing justice for the horrendous action George Floyd endured leading to his death.

Executive Director
